What will you review? Make Me a Hot Mama Magazine reviews any product that will help moms--which is anything from books, self-help programs, websites, and blogs; infant, toddler, and preschool, school-age, teenage, or college-age childrens' products and clothing; maternity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and parenting products and materials; time-management, cleaning, household management, products and resources; health, diet, fitness, and specialty products and materials; cooking, food, kitchenware, and appliance products and materials; bras, underwear, panties, and shapewear products; petite, tall, regular, and plus-size womens clothing; beauty, style, and fashion resources; skincare, bodycare, and spa products; makeup and cosmetics products; hair-care, hair-styling, hair salon, and hair accessory products and materials; jewelry, hats, and other womens' accessory products; womens shoes, boots, and other footgear; womens handbags, purses, diaper bags, and organizers; shopping resources; memoir, mystery, womens/chick literature, and other fiction books; relationship, dating, marriage, and personal growth products and services; work-at-home opportunities and small businesses; computers, gadgets, and other technology; and other topics on a case-by-case basis. What do you need from me to do a review of my product or service? We need a free, regular size sample of your product or a full membership to your service or website in order to do a review. We don't base our reviews off of the experience of one product use, so don't skimp on your samples!
Will I get my product back? We are real moms who actually use the things we test, and as much as we love returning empty bottles, dirty laundry, or <-insert-your-product-here->, our budgets don't quite agree with mailing such items from place to place. Long story short: they're non-returnable.
When will my review be posted? You can request a certain date for your product review to be published, but this depends greatly on whether or not our publishing schedule is already full for that date. Because we have a full roster of articles as early as 4 weeks in advance, we recommend beginning the review process at least a month before you'd like to see your product review posted. If you don't specify a date, the author you selected will notify you of the date your review will post at least a week before said date. The author will also send a courtesy email with the link to your review on the site on the publishing date.
Is there a fee or a giveaway required? Yes and no. You will receive a pricing brochure when you request a product review from an author. Note that fees are minimal, and are only to cover costs, keep this site online, (and our families fed). We especially recommend sponsoring a giveaway to coincide with your review, and our fee schedule does vary based on whether or not a giveaway is part of your product review. Giveaways, while not required, are an excellent way to generate buzz with our readers and draw significant attention to your product review, and we are happy to host them! Ideally, a giveaway will last for for a couple weeks, more or less depending on the item, and you can always request a specific time-frame and end date. You can choose to give away the product I review or another item of interest to our readers.
How are winners chosen? Winners are chosen via random number generation at Random.org. A comment is needed for a giveaway entry and is automatically numbered. The comment number that matches the randomly generated number wins.
How do the winners get their prizes? We'll contact you when your giveaway closes with the winner(s)' shipping information. You, as the giveaway sponsor, are responsible for shipping the product to the winner(s)-- We cannot be responsible for shipping to giveaway winners--and all giveaways must be shipped to the winner(s) within 4 weeks of receiving the winner(s) information. Shipping information is confidential and cannot be added to email lists or sold.
What if there's a problem with my product or you don't like it? We are a very picky bunch and only accept review products that we truly believe that we're going to love, so this scenario is extremely rare. However, if there is a problem with your product or the author finds it's not working out for their needs, the author will contact you and see if they can troubleshoot whatever the problem is. We will not post a generally negative or disparaging review; if your product fails to meet our standards, we'll do our best to come to a positive resolution. If we are unable to resolve the issues and do not publish your review, any fees will be refunded. Products cannot be returned.
