Have you ever noticed how much negativity is in this world? I made the mistake of actually sitting down and watching the news. They really like to report on the bad things in the world instead of the positive things. I felt really depressed and somewhat angry after I wasted an entire half-hour of my life. It was a thought-provoking half-hour, however, as I realized that I really believe all this negativity is actually the cause of stress and problems that people encounter throughout their day instead of simply the result.Hot mama, do you remember being a kid and getting up excited every morning in the summer to play with your friends or just to do something fun? It was something different every day. Even if you encountered a problem (negatively) you forgot about it by the next morning and you were ready to go enjoy your day again. Why can't we as adults go back to that way of thinking? One person responds with, "Well I have to go to work and I hate my job." What would your response be?
I asked an (anonymous) mom if she thought she smiled enough and this is what she said: "I work, then I run my kids around, then I have to do housework. I don't have time to smile." Wow. Do you have a negative outlook like hers? Are you too busy to smile?
Change it. Brainstorm about your options, look for a new job, enjoy every moment with your kids. Make the most out of the time you are in the van chauffeuring them to their activities. As far as the housework goes - do what you have too, it doesn't have to be perfect-being happy is healthier for you than vacuuming your life down the tube(in fact, studies prove that kids who grow up in an excessively clean house have a greater chance of developing allergies and asthma). No one will notice, and you'll just be miserable.
Here is something to try-fake it until you make it. Wake up with a smile on. Stand in front of the mirror and repeat after me: Today is a new day and I will enjoy every moment of it. Laugh at yesterday - it is now the past and a memory. You can't change it so why dwell on it? Keep things positive around your family and friends. As soon as someone starts talking negatively change the subject or point out the good in every situation.
Come on, mamas, life is too short to be pulled into the negativity. It is very easy to be sucked in, but soon it will be much easier to smile everyday. Have you ever waved at people in passing cars? Try it. Smile and Wave. You will soon see many drivers smiling and waving back. It was simple but you just made someone's day. Now don't you feel better? If we all start to change then people around us will start to change.
So come on and Smile, Smile, Smile. You look like a total HOT MAMA when you smile!
